Argentina
|
- Visas – Nationals of the USA, UK, Canada, most European countries, Australia and New Zealand do not require visas. However, all non-visa visitors must obtain a free tourist card, valid for 90 days and renewable for 90 more. Additionally, all US citizens arriving into Ezeiza International Airport need to pay an entry fee of $US131, allowing multiple visits valid for 10 years.
- Currency – Argentine peso (ARS). Approx. rates - 1 USD = 3.96 Argentine pesos & 1 Euro = 5.59 Argentine pesos.
- Language & Faith/Religion - Spanish, English, Italian, German, French. Argentinians are mainly Roman Catholic-92%, Protestant, Jews and others.
- Vaccination/Health – Recommended routine ones like influenza, chickenpox (or varicella), typhoid, hepatitis-A, yellow fever, polio, malaria, measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), and diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT). Uruguay
|
- Visas - Nationals of Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay need only their national identity cards. Similarly, citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe require only their passports for entry and must obtain a free tourist card, valid for 90 days and renewable for 90 more.
- Currency - Uruguayan Peso (UYU) . Approx. rates - 1 USD = 19.97 Uruguayan pesos & 1 Euro = 28.18 Uruguayan pesos.
- Language & Faith/Religion - Spanish, Portunol, Brazilero. Uruguayans are mainly Roman Catholic, with a minority of Protestants and Jews.

Peru
|
- Visas – Except for some Asian, African and Communist countries, visas are not required for entering Peru. Tourists are allowed a 30-90-day stay, which is stamped on the passports and on a tourist card - Tarjeta Andina de Migración (Andean Immigration Card) that needs to be returned on departure.
- Currency – Local Currency is the Nuevo Sol (PEN). Approx. rates - 1USD=2.82 Peruvian New Sol & 1Euro=3.95 Peruvian New Sol.
- Language & Faith/Religion – Languages spoken are Spanish, Quechua, Aymara. Peruvians are predominantly Roman Catholic (81%).
- Vaccination & Health – No vaccines are required apart from routine ones like influenza, chickenpox (or varicella), typhoid, hepatitis-A, yellow fever, polio, malaria, measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), and diphtheria/pertussis/tetanus (DPT). Chile
|
- Visas – Nationals of Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Uruguay and Paraguay need only their national identity cards. Similarly, citizens of the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe require only their passports for entry. A ‘reciprocity’ fee of US$132/ 56/132 is taken from arriving US/ Australian/Canadian citizens, since these countries charge a similar fee for Chileans applying for visas there.
- Currency - Chilean peso (CLP). Approx. rates - 1 USD = 489 Chilean pesos & 1 Euro = 691 Chilean pesos.
- Language & Faith/Religion – Language spoken is Spanish. Chileans comprise Roman Catholic-70%, Protestant, Evangelical, Jehovah's Witness, Christian and others.
